Natalia Schifini

...was born and
raised in Argentina. Her parents migrated from Paraguay and Italy. She started dancing with ballet lessons when she was five years old, dance has been a part of her life since then. As a teenager, she had a chance to travel through the Caribbean where she discovered a passion Salsa. Natalia first learned with Cuba's famous Eddie Aponte (Cuban Style Salsa, Mambo and Salsa Rueda "Casino"), she also studied with Quico Cespedes (renowned Salsa, Merengue & Cha Cha Cha instructor from Dominican Republic) in Buenos Aires.

In 2000 she connected with her roots and immersed herself in the famous, traditional Argentine Tango. During her last trips to Argentina, she received intensive group and private Argentine Tango lessons with Gonzalo Robinson, Graciela Gonzalez, Alejandra Arrue, Angel Coria from La Escuela de Tango, Mauricio Castro, Jorge Firpo, Gustavo Rosas and "Gavito". In United States she also studied in Sacramento, CA with Sebastian Arce & Mariana Montes. In 2006 she also studied with Chicho Frumboli & Mariana Dragone. On her trips to Buenos Aires, she tours the best Milongas such as Nino Bien, La National, La Catedral, Salon Canning among others; where the most traditional form of Tango still is experienced. back to NataliaSchifini.com
